Blytheville Woman Dies in South Division Street Collision

A 78-year-old Blytheville woman was killed in a vehicle collision on South Division Street, Arkansas State Police reported.

The fatal crash occurred at approximately 2:34 p.m. on July 31, according to a summary from ASP. Patricia Smith, driving a 2026 Nissan Frontier southbound, crossed the center line and collided with a northbound 2024 International MV 607 truck.

The commercial truck’s driver, identified as 48-year-old Gregory Robinson, and two passengers, 30-year-old Freddick Smith and 45-year-old Nekia Burns, all of Blytheville, suffered injuries in the incident.

Authorities noted that it was raining at the time of the crash and that the roadway was wet.

The incident remains under investigation.
