A lineman working for North Arkansas Electric Cooperative (NAEC) was injured Wednesday morning while on a job in Ozark Acres and was transported by helicopter to a Little Rock hospital for treatment.
In a statement, NAEC thanked its right-of-way crew and local emergency responders for their swift actions following the incident. Out of respect for the family, the cooperative has not released the injured employee’s name.
Mel Coleman, NAEC’s CEO, addressed the accident, asking fellow employees to join him in praying for the lineman and his family. Coleman emphasized that safety remains a top priority for the cooperative and stated that NAEC continuously works to improve its safety protocols. He added the cooperative will conduct a detailed review of the incident.
