One man was killed and another injured Monday evening when a pickup truck overturned in rural Independence County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
The crash happened at 5:35 p.m. on Aug. 3 along State Highway 25, near Greenbriar Farm Road, according to the preliminary fatal crash report.
Trooper Grayson E. Russell reported that Michael Jackson, 44, of Mountain View, was driving westbound in a 2023 Chevy Silverado when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned.
Jackson sustained fatal injuries in the crash. His passenger, 27-year-old Gage Browder, also of Mountain View, was taken to White River Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
