Dr. Michael Campbell, a physician with more than 25 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, will begin seeing patients at the Baxter Health Comprehensive Women’s Clinic in September. Campbell joins Dr. Maureen Flowers and Brooke Hinrichs, APRN, adding capacity to a clinic that serves a region where access to OB/GYN care is often limited.
Expanding women’s health services has been a key focus for Baxter Health, which has prioritized the recruitment of additional OB/GYN providers. Brian Barnett, Baxter Health’s vice president of physician enterprise and business development, emphasized the importance of this effort, noting that women in north central Arkansas deserve high-quality care close to home. He described Campbell as a strong addition to the clinic’s team.
Campbell brings extensive clinical experience, having worked in both hospital and clinic settings across Arkansas and Texas. He earned his medical degree at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and completed his OB/GYN residency at Texas Tech Regional Health Sciences Center in Amarillo. Over his career, he has managed a wide spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic cases, including complex conditions requiring advanced expertise.
He also specializes in laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic procedures, which are minimally invasive techniques associated with reduced pain, shorter hospital stays, and quicker recoveries.
Before relocating to Mountain Home, Campbell served as the OB/GYN physician at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. Beyond his medical career, he trains and hunts with his Labrador retrievers, an activity he finds rewarding for its connection to the natural instincts of his dogs.
