Seventeen individuals were arrested and booked into the Sharp County Detention Center last week, according to a report from Chief Deputy Kevin "Bart" Simpson. The arrests occurred between July 27 and August 3, 2026, and included a variety of charges.
Amber Albright, 46, of Camp, was arrested for allegedly driving without taillights and while intoxicated. William Nelson, 79, also of Camp, faced charges of driving left of center and driving while intoxicated on a first offense.
Benjamin Beachy, 21, of Powhatan, was taken into custody for failure to appear in court for a misdemeanor related to not wearing a seat belt. Other failure-to-appear misdemeanor arrests included Edward Freeman, 22, of Batesville, for fictitious tags and driving on a suspended or revoked license; Danielle Richardson, 33, of Thayer, for theft of property; Tyler Westhoff, 27, of Batesville, for driving on a suspended or revoked license, failure to provide proof of insurance, and having expired tags; and Brittney White, 34, of Tuckerman, for driving while intoxicated.
James Fitzpatrick, 56, of Southside, was arrested for contempt of court related to failure to pay and a prior charge of driving on a suspended or revoked license.
Drugs and related charges were also among last week's arrests. Kelly Jackson, 45, of Cherokee Village, was charged with delivering methamphetamine or cocaine in an amount greater than 2 grams but less than 10 grams, and maintaining a drug premises.
Other incidents included Patrick Glasscock, 31, of Arkansas, who was arrested for harassment; Shelley Ogland, 38, of Paragould, and Matthew Ungs, 43, of Hot Springs, who both faced charges for violating suspensions or probation; and Jeri Slarrow, 49, of Hardy, who was arrested for criminal trespass.
The Sharp County Sheriff's Office also recorded several arrests involving allegations of violence or endangering minors. Travis Stevens, 24, of Cherokee Village, was charged with third-degree domestic battering and endangering the welfare of a minor in the third degree. Similarly, Zabian White, 26, of Williford, faced charges of third-degree domestic battering. James Thompson, 41, of Cave City, was charged with third-degree battery and making a second-degree terroristic threat.
In traffic-related incidents, Wade Sparks, 42, of Evening Shade, was cited for following too closely and reckless driving.
The arrests were reported as part of the Sheriff's Office's regular updates. All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
