Employees of First Community Bank in north central Arkansas and southern Missouri have raised $23,500 for Arkansas Children’s Hospital, setting a new fundraising record for the institution.
The effort took place in September in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Bank employees initially raised $23,009 through various initiatives, with an additional contribution from the bank raising the final total to $23,500.
The campaign also included friendly competitions among different departments within the bank, further driving participation and enthusiasm for the cause.
The funds will benefit Arkansas Children’s Hospital, which provides specialized care for children across the region, including those battling cancer.
