Two men from North Arkansas have been appointed to state positions by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, filling previously vacant seats on two separate bodies.
David Stults, of Mountain Home, has been named to the Arkansas 911 Board. Stults serves as the Baxter County Office of Emergency Management Director. His term on the board will run through July 24, 2027. The Arkansas 911 Board oversees critical emergency communication services across the state, including the allocation of funds for 911 systems.
In addition, Jasper’s Walter Lloyd has been selected to serve on the Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission. Lloyd will occupy a position with a term lasting until June 30, 2029. The commission investigates and resolves complaints about judicial conduct and qualifications in Arkansas.
Governor Sanders’ office announced both appointments, which fill long-vacant spots on the respective boards. These appointments come at a time of heightened focus on improving state emergency systems and ensuring accountability in the judiciary.
