Izard County deputies made several arrests this week, taking five individuals into custody on charges that include failure to appear, failure to pay fines, and obstructing governmental operations.

Authorities arrested 36-year-old Kayla Jefferies of Marshall on a warrant issued by the Izard County Circuit Court for failure to appear. Similarly, 38-year-old Brandy Ault of Pine Bluff was also apprehended on a failure-to-appear warrant from the same court.

Additional arrests included 43-year-old James Meeks of Oxford on charges of obstructing governmental operations and resisting arrest and 50-year-old Tanya Powell of Norfork on another failure-to-appear warrant from the county circuit court.

Daniel Bennett, age 43, of Horseshoe Bend, was also detained for failure to pay fines.

The arrests were part of ongoing efforts by the Izard County Sheriff’s Office to enforce court orders and address outstanding warrants.
