Michael Jines, age 12, has achieved the prestigious Arkansas Triple Trophy Hunters Award, a recognition from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) that honors versatile hunting skills and dedication to proper deer management.

The program, established in 1984, challenges hunters to harvest three deer in a single season using three different weapon types: archery or crossbow, a muzzleloader firearm, and a modern gun. Each deer must be legally taken within the designated season.

The Triple Trophy Hunters Award is designed to promote sustainable and balanced deer herd management by encouraging the harvesting of antlerless deer. It also recognizes hunters who display adaptability and proficiency across multiple methods of hunting.

Jines' accomplishment highlights skill and commitment to Arkansas' hunting traditions. The AGFC continues to encourage responsible hunting practices and conservation education statewide.
