St. Bernards Healthcare is offering free lung cancer screenings from November 9 to November 14 at locations in Jonesboro, Paragould, Pocahontas, Walnut Ridge, and Wynne. The screenings aim to identify early signs of lung cancer for those who meet specific eligibility criteria.
To qualify, participants must be between the ages of 50 and 77, have a tobacco use history of at least 20 pack-years, be a current smoker or have quit within the last 15 years, and must not exhibit symptoms of lung cancer. A pack-year is calculated by multiplying the number of years smoked by the average number of cigarette packs smoked per day.
Those interested in participating are encouraged to visit the St. Bernards website at stbernards.info/events to find detailed schedules and locations for the screenings. Additional information, including assistance in determining eligibility, is available by calling 870-207-8250.
