The Mountain Home Bombers will take the field Friday night for their final regular-season game, hosting the Fort Smith Southside Mavericks at Bomber Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., with senior night festivities set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
This marks the third meeting between the two teams, with Mountain Home holding a 2-0 all-time record against Fort Smith Southside. A win on Friday would not only maintain that perfect streak but also secure a first-round bye in the upcoming playoffs—an achievement that has eluded the Bombers for years.
“It’s very important for playoff positioning,” Head Coach Steve Ary emphasized, underscoring the stakes of this matchup. While the Bombers suffered a narrow loss last week, Ary highlighted that Mountain Home could still claim a share of the conference title if they win and if Lake Hamilton also notches a victory.
Ary is urging a strong community turnout to support the team during what promises to be a pivotal and emotional game. "The boys play their best when the ‘12th man’ is behind them," Ary said, encouraging fans to show up in force for both senior night and the Bombers’ playoff run.
Friday's game will be broadcast on Classic Hits 101.7 and livestreamed on the Bomber Sports Network via YouTube, MHBomberSports.com, and the Mountain Home Athletics App.
