Bull Shoals will host The Big Dam Food Fight this Saturday at Roy Danuser Park, offering locals and visitors a day packed with culinary fun and friendly competition. Organized by the Bull Shoals Chamber of Commerce, the event invites skilled cooks to showcase their talents while competing for cash prizes and bragging rights.
Contests will focus on chili and sweet treats, with public sampling starting at 11 a.m., judging at 1:30 p.m., and an awards ceremony at 2 p.m. Contestants will set up between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
In addition to the competitions, attendees can expect a variety of other attractions, including vendors selling sauces, seasonings, baked goods, jams, jellies, cookies, and other specialty items. There will be kitchen goods and serving pieces on display, such as cutting boards and bowls.
Adding a playful twist to the event, a “real food fight” is planned. Participants are encouraged to bring soft food items like spaghetti, gelatin, or mashed potatoes for a messy but fun experience. A hot dog eating contest will also take place during the day.
Individuals interested in participating or reserving a spot can contact Don Buttman at the Bull Shoals Chamber of Commerce by calling 870-445-4443 or emailing director@bullshoals.org.
