Four caregivers from Baxter Health’s 5 South unit have been honored with the Heroes with Halos Awards for their dedication and compassionate care. The awards were presented following a heartfelt nomination by a patient who commended the team’s attentiveness and clear communication.
The employees recognized include Tiffany Clark, BSN, RN; Radsi Etang, RN; Aleah Davis, RN; and Madi Price, a patient care technician. Baxter Health’s Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Rachel Gilbert and 5 South Director Steve Fosness, BSN, RN, joined other staff members in presenting the awards.
“They explained everything they did so I could understand. Very nice caregivers and took everything they did without an attitude or rush off just to leave,” the patient wrote in their nomination. “Thank you!”
The Heroes with Halos program, managed by the Baxter Health Foundation, allows patients and their families to recognize healthcare providers, employees, volunteers, or departments through a tax-deductible donation of any amount. Honorees receive a certificate of recognition and a program-branded badge holder. Nurses recognized through the program are also automatically considered for the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.
More information about the program, including how to submit a nomination, is available on Baxter Health’s website at baxterhealth.org/heroes.
