JONESBORO — A Jonesboro woman has been charged in two separate drug-related cases following her arrest earlier this month and the discovery of suspected methamphetamine at her residence, according to court documents.
Angel Denise Cude, 54, is facing charges stemming from an August 27 traffic stop and a November 3 search of her home. Special Judge Barbara Halsey reviewed probable cause affidavits on November 4, assigning Cude bonds of $100,000 and $50,000 for the two cases, respectively.
The first case began when an investigator with the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force observed Cude driving a tan Buick with expired tags near East Matthews Avenue and Marion Berry Parkway. According to the affidavit, the investigator noticed Cude making movements toward the vehicle’s center console and her legs before pulling her over near Aggie Road and Marion Berry Parkway.
Upon stopping her, the investigator reportedly told Cude to retrieve what she had concealed. She then produced a black bag containing 35.1 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. After being read her rights, Cude allegedly admitted the bag contained slightly over an ounce of methamphetamine and that she used her cellphone to contact a supplier who provided drugs on credit.
For the August incident, Cude is charged with possession of methamphetamine in an amount greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams, a Class B felony; use of a communication device, a Class C felony; and expired vehicle registration.
The second case arose from Cude’s arrest on November 3. Members of the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force located her at her residence on Monica Street to serve a felony bench warrant. During a probationary search of the home, investigators reportedly found additional drugs.
According to the affidavit, agents located a bag containing approximately 28.7 grams of a white crystalline substance that tested positive for methamphetamine using a TruNarc scanner. They also reported finding 1.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine in an M&M’s container, two buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual film strips, 6.8 grams of suspected marijuana, two methamphetamine pipes, two digital scales with residue, and what investigators described as a ledger referencing weights and amounts, along with names and phone numbers.
In addition, authorities reported a mirror and platter with suspected drug residue, a marijuana grinder, and a THC vape pen were recovered from Cude's vehicle.
For the November 3 search, Cude faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams, a Class A felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class B felony; and several misdemeanors, including possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of additional drug paraphernalia.
Cude, who is on active felony probation, is due to appear in Craighead County Circuit Court for both cases on January 25, 2027, at 8:30 a.m.
All individuals facing charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
