The Salem Greyhounds are gearing up for their final game of the 3A-2 conference season as they host the Riverview Pirates tonight at Greyhound Stadium. Despite a season marked by ups and downs, head coach Billy Webber says there have been many positive takeaways that the team can build on heading into next year.
With kickoff set for 7 p.m., the game will also serve as Salem's Senior Night, offering a special opportunity for outgoing players to be recognized for their contributions to the program. Coach Webber expressed hope that the seniors have gained valuable life lessons through their experience on the field.
The Greyhounds will rely on key players to deliver a strong performance against Riverview tonight, aiming to end their season on a high note. Webber emphasized the importance of these players stepping up as the team seeks one final victory before transitioning into the off-season.
Salem's game tonight caps off a challenging year in the 3A-2 conference, but the focus remains on growth and preparation for future successes.
