GREENE COUNTY, Ark. – Rusty McMillon has secured another term as Greene County judge, according to early unofficial election results released by the Greene County Clerk’s Office.

McMillon, a Republican and the incumbent in the race, defeated Democratic challenger Jerry Shipman by a decisive margin. The clerk’s office reported that McMillon received 7,489 votes compared to 3,042 votes for Shipman.

McMillon has held the judge’s position since his election in 2018 and oversees a range of responsibilities in the county, including administrative and road maintenance duties. Tuesday’s victory ensures that he will continue to serve in his role for another term.

Official results are expected to be certified pending the full canvassing of votes.
