A Jonesboro woman faces multiple charges after police say she assaulted her daughter and infant grandson during a domestic dispute.

A probable cause affidavit released Wednesday states that officers arrested 53-year-old Lubie Louise Larnce on Nov. 3 after responding to a disturbance at a Haltom Street residence.

Judge Barbara Halsey found probable cause to charge Larnce with two counts of aggravated assault on a household or family member, a Class D felony; first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, a Class D felony; and resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor.

According to Detective Austin Morgan, the incident began with an argument between Larnce and her daughter. At some point, the victim’s infant son crawled into his mother’s lap. Police say Larnce then grabbed the child by the crown of his head, forced his face into the mattress, and held him there.

The daughter reportedly intervened, pushing Larnce off the child. At that point, Larnce allegedly began choking her daughter and continued to fight with her. During the struggle, Larnce allegedly grabbed the infant by his leg, dragged him off the bed, and caused him to fall onto the floor.

The victim told police she eventually broke free from the altercation and contacted authorities.

When officers arrived at the home, they attempted to arrest Larnce, but she reportedly resisted by turning toward them and pulling her hands away. The affidavit states she also tried to bite officers during the arrest.

Larnce is currently being held on a $75,000 cash or surety bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 16.
