A former Mountain Home resident died early Sunday in a fire in Yuma, Arizona. Authorities have identified the victim as 58-year-old Tracy Renee Otwell of Cave City.

According to information from the Yuma Police and Fire Departments as well as statements from family members, Otwell was staying with relatives and sleeping in a travel trailer located next to their home. An electrical cord connected to the trailer ran into a nearby storage shed and was plugged into a battery.

A family member reportedly heard a noise and discovered the trailer ablaze. The Yuma Fire Department was notified at 6:17 a.m., but by the time firefighters arrived, the travel trailer was completely engulfed in flames. No other structures were damaged, according to officials.

Although police have stated that no criminal investigation will take place, the fire department continues to investigate the cause of the blaze.
