Three people have been charged in connection with a series of thefts at Peachy Clean Laundry Mat in Mountain View, where cash was stolen from washing machines, dryers, and a change machine on multiple occasions in July.
According to probable cause affidavits from the Mountain View Police Department, the suspects—25-year-old Harley James Moser of Mountain View, 20-year-old Alexa Grace Patterson of Searcy, and 42-year-old David Lee Jones of Judsonia—were identified through surveillance video footage. Combined, the three face hundreds of charges for their alleged roles in the crimes.
Authorities say the first break-in occurred on July 19. Surveillance footage reportedly shows Moser using a stolen set of keys to access the coin boxes of 42 machines, while Patterson covered the laundromat windows with a blanket. Moser allegedly stole $500 to $600 in quarters. The investigation revealed that the keys, which fit the washers, dryers, and change machine, had previously gone missing from the business.
On July 24, Moser and Patterson allegedly returned to the laundromat, arriving in Patterson’s vehicle. Two days later, during the early hours of July 26, Moser and Jones reportedly committed another theft at the location. In that incident, video showed Jones allegedly emptying the change machine while Moser accessed the machines again, police said. They, too, arrived and departed in Patterson’s vehicle.
Investigators executing a search warrant at the suspects’ cabin discovered clothing that matched the items worn by Moser and Jones in the surveillance footage, along with approximately $100 in quarters stacked on the floor. A vehicle search turned up the stolen keys and additional quarters in a cup located in the vehicle’s center console.
Moser reportedly admitted to investigators that he had used the stolen keys to remove money from the machines. He is now facing 129 counts of breaking or entering; theft of property; and theft of property lost, mislaid, or delivered by mistake, all felonies. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of second-degree criminal mischief and is subject to a penalty enhancement as a habitual offender. Moser is being held in the Stone County Jail with his bond set at $40,000.
Patterson faces 86 counts of breaking or entering and one count each of theft of property and theft of property lost, mislaid, or delivered by mistake, also felonies. She was released on her own recognizance after reportedly experiencing contractions and being transported to White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Jones is charged with 43 counts of breaking or entering and one count of theft of property, all felonies. Like Moser, he is subject to a habitual offender penalty enhancement. He remains in the Stone County Jail with bond set at $35,000.
All three suspects have prior criminal records. Moser was convicted in 2021 of breaking or entering and theft of property in White County, and in 2025, he was convicted of two counts of methamphetamine possession. Jones has three felony convictions from 2015 in Indiana for theft and forgery, as well as two 2021 convictions for methamphetamine possession. Patterson’s criminal history was not detailed in court filings.
The investigation is ongoing, and further legal proceedings are pending for the suspects.
