Lawrence County authorities apprehended a fugitive late Tuesday night following a domestic disturbance call in Imboden.
According to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), dispatch received a 911 call shortly after 11 p.m. regarding an incident at a residence on 3rd Street. The caller reported that a male individual, identified as Damon Micheal Stewart, had left the scene on foot, possibly heading toward the Spring River access area.
While deputies were en route, dispatchers informed them that Stewart had outstanding warrants from another agency. The warrants included charges of aggravated fleeing, with full extradition requested. Authorities also noted that Stewart was considered potentially armed and dangerous.
Upon arrival in Imboden, deputies quickly located Stewart walking in the area. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center, where he was booked on a "Hold for Other Agency" charge.
Stewart remained in custody at the detention center as of Wednesday morning, awaiting extradition to face the charges from the other jurisdiction.
