Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams and Baxter County Judge Kevin Litty are scheduled to provide their annual updates on city and county operations during the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce’s State of City and County Breakfast. The event is set for Monday, November 9, at the Vada Sheid Community Development Center on the Arkansas State University-Mountain Home campus, located at 1600 S. College Street.

The breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. in the center’s Trout Room, with networking and a meal filling the first half hour. The formal presentations, starting at 8 a.m., will include a review of the past year’s achievements, upcoming priorities, and time for audience questions. The event is free and open to the public, with breakfast provided by sponsor Farmers & Merchants Bank. Attendees are encouraged to reserve seats by contacting the Chamber at 870-425-5111.

Mayor Adams and Judge Litty will speak on a range of topics relevant to the community. Last year’s event included updates from Adams on the progress of the Mountain Home Community and Aquatic Center, a facility that opened this May, and from Litty on plans for a new county building on Sixth Street and a permanent location for the coroner's office.

This is the second year for the breakfast, part of the Chamber’s "State of” series, which also examines education, healthcare, real estate, and tourism. Judge Litty, who secured a second term in office during the March Republican primary, is expected to discuss continued efforts in the county. Mayor Adams, now unopposed for another four-year term, will focus on upcoming city priorities.
