Baxter County saw a 45% voter turnout in Tuesday’s election, with early voting contributing significantly to the total. Of the 14,354 votes cast, 9,919—approximately 69%—were submitted during the early voting period, according to election officials.

Neighboring counties also reported strong participation. Marion County recorded 5,556 votes cast in total, with 3,624 from early voting and 1,932 on Election Day. Fulton County reported the highest turnout percentage in the region, with 49% of registered voters participating. Of the 3,513 ballots cast in Fulton County, 1,999 were early votes, comprising over half of the total.

Baxter County Clerk Canda Reese expressed her gratitude for poll workers and the voters who participated. “We appreciate the strong turnout and extend our thanks to those who helped make the election process run smoothly,” Reese said in remarks shared with local media Tuesday afternoon.

Election officials highlighted early voting as a critical component in this year’s robust participation across the region. Counties have emphasized expanding early voting opportunities in recent years to accommodate more residents and reduce Election Day crowds.

The voter turnout figures reflect a high level of engagement in local electoral processes across North Arkansas. The region continues to see significant participation in both early and Election Day voting, underscoring a strong commitment to civic involvement.
