Steve Ditto is set to become the next mayor of Hoxie, Arkansas, after early unofficial results show him defeating incumbent Mayor Tim Taylor.
According to the Lawrence County Clerk’s Office, Ditto received 279 votes compared to Taylor’s 157, giving him a 122-vote margin of victory.
Although Taylor’s name appeared on the ballot, he resigned from office last month following concerns raised by residents about financial spending during a city council meeting.
The election results have not yet been certified.
