Golfers and community members are gearing up for the 30th annual Arvest Charity Golf Tournament, set to take place on August 22 at Twin Lakes Golf Club in Mountain Home. The longstanding event raises funds to benefit nonprofits in Baxter, Boone, and Marion Counties.

Players can register online ahead of the tournament at arvest.com/charitygolf or on the morning of the event, where check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. The tournament will officially kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Final team registrations and sponsorship arrangements must be completed by August 15.

Last year, the tournament featured 37 teams and raised $18,000 to address essential needs of local charities. Organizers, including Arvest Lending Officer Jacob Bruggeman, hope to exceed that success this year by attracting 40 participating teams.

The cost to join the tournament is $120 per team, with additional fees of $30 for carts and $10 for two mulligans. Businesses and individuals can also support the event through sponsorships, with opportunities including $200 for hole sponsorships and $400 for corporate sponsorships. Prizes will be awarded to players throughout the tournament for achievements on the course.

Lunch is provided for participants, courtesy of Baxter Health. All proceeds from the tournament will be divided among three charities selected by the event organizers. Bruggeman noted the importance of volunteers and donor contributions in making the event a success year after year.
