JONESBORO, Ark. — Overnight road closures are scheduled to begin Monday, Nov. 2, on Caraway Road as construction crews install six drainage pipe crossings as part of the ongoing expansion project, city officials announced.
The first closure will take place from 9 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday. During this time, crews will saw-cut the asphalt to prepare for the pipe installations. Additional closures are tentatively planned for the evenings of Tuesday, Nov. 3, and Wednesday, Nov. 4, weather permitting, with work hours spanning 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day.
After the initial preparation, motorists may encounter overnight closures up to two nights a week for approximately six weeks. Crews plan to complete one drainage pipe crossing per week. If weather conditions and construction progress proceed as expected, the closures could continue until the week of Dec. 7.
Drivers are encouraged to monitor digital message boards at both ends of the project area for updates on closure schedules. The city also recommends following its official Facebook and Instagram accounts for notifications and any changes to the schedule.
