A record number of early votes were cast in Fulton, Lawrence, Sharp, and Izard counties ahead of Tuesday’s general election, according to local reports. The combined total exceeded 10,000 ballots, highlighting significant early voter turnout in North Arkansas.

In Sharp County, 3,724 residents voted early, marking the highest turnout among the four counties. Izard County followed with 2,440 early votes recorded, while 2,071 ballots were cast early in Lawrence County. Fulton County added 1,999 early votes to the total.

Today, on General Election Day, polls across Arkansas will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Voters are required by state law to present a valid form of identification at the polls.

For those who need additional information, the Arkansas Secretary of State's website offers a "Voter View" tool, where voters can review their sample ballot by entering their ZIP code.

This level of engagement in early voting may suggest heightened interest in the election across North Arkansas, with voters eager to make their voices heard.
