JONESBORO, Ark. — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders held a rally in Jonesboro on Monday, calling on Arkansans to cast their ballots in the upcoming election. The event took place at Fat City Steak and Grill House at noon, drawing local leaders and supporters.

During her remarks, Sanders emphasized the impact of voter participation, particularly in local races, which she said could come down to just a few votes.

“That’s why Election Day matters,” Sanders said. “It is our opportunity to let our voices be heard and to show what Arkansas is all about.” She added, “Every vote makes a difference. And there are a lot of races, especially some of our local races, that are going to be decided by a handful of votes.”

Sanders, a Republican, is running for re-election against Democratic candidate Fred Love and Libertarian candidate Colt Shelby. As Election Day nears, Sanders has been making stops across the state to rally voters.

The governor’s visit to Jonesboro underscores its role as one of Arkansas’ key cities during election season. Sanders’ remarks reflected a broader effort to energize turnout across the region.

Election Day is scheduled for Tuesday.
