JONESBORO, Ark. — Crews will close a section of Caraway Road overnight Monday, Nov. 2, as part of a road expansion project, city officials announced.

The road will be closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. to allow workers to saw-cut asphalt in preparation for installing six drainage pipe crossings. The work is part of a broader effort to expand the roadway, according to the City of Jonesboro.

Weather permitting, additional closures are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday nights, Nov. 3 and 4, within the same hours.

Following this initial phase, motorists should anticipate further overnight closures of up to two nights per week over the next six weeks as crews install the six planned drainage pipe crossings—one crossing each week. These closures could extend through the week of Dec. 7, depending on weather and construction progress, the city noted.

Drivers are encouraged to plan for detours during the scheduled closures. For updates, residents can monitor city announcements or contact the City of Jonesboro for additional information.
