The Baxter County Quorum Court will meet Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the second-floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse. County Judge Kevin Litty will preside over the session.
On the agenda is consideration of an ordinance to appropriate $6,586.46 in fees and reimbursements received by the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office in September. The funds, if approved, would be allocated to the County General Fund, Animal Control Fund, Sheriff’s Special Projects Fund, and County Jail Fund for designated expenses.
The court will also review a resolution confirming the appointment of Rich Geib to the Rodney-Jordan Volunteer Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners. Geib was appointed by Judge Litty to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Jerry Klaus. If confirmed, Geib will serve until October 2027.
Other items on the agenda include a presentation by Amanda Rychtarik from the Extension Office, committee reports, and approval of minutes from the court’s previous meeting.
