A pickup truck veered off the road and struck a power pole near the Vantive Plant in Mountain Home on Sunday evening, cutting electricity to over 700 North Arkansas Electric Cooperative (NAEC) members.

NAEC crews responded quickly to the scene, working to replace the damaged pole and restore service to affected customers. Jay Jones, NAEC’s district superintendent for Mountain Home, shared details about the restoration efforts during an interview with KTLO on Monday morning.

The incident caused localized outages but was resolved by the utility crew’s swift action overnight. No details regarding the cause of the accident or information about any injuries were immediately released.
