The Twin Lakes Playhouse in Mountain Home will present "A Sherlock Carol," a production blending elements of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries and Charles Dickens’ holiday classic, "A Christmas Carol." The play will open Friday, November 6, and run through Sunday, November 22, offering audiences a unique glimpse into British Victorian-style theater.
According to representatives Vance Jones and Ann Johnson from the Twin Lakes Playhouse, the show features Jones in the lead role and incorporates music throughout. Johnson emphasized the production’s diversity and rich variety, while Jones described it as a multifaceted theatrical experience.
Opening night festivities will include a special benefit event on Thursday, November 5, supporting the charity initiative "Operation Christmas Child." A portion of ticket sales—$150—will be allocated to the Playhouse’s scholarship fund. Standard tickets for the production are priced at $15 and can be purchased through the Twin Lakes Playhouse website or by calling 870-424-0444. Seating is limited, with the theater currently operating at 93% capacity.
The Twin Lakes Playhouse has noted that "A Sherlock Carol" represents a novel addition to its programming, as does most of the upcoming 2027 season lineup. After "A Sherlock Carol," the Playhouse will host productions in 2027 such as a musical adaptation of "The Wizard of Oz," directed by Jones; "12 Angry Men"; "Sugarbeam Sisters"; "Frankenstein"; and "Clue."
Season tickets for 2027 will go on sale beginning Wednesday, November 1. For more details regarding tickets, patrons can contact the Playhouse directly at 870-424-0444.
