Early voting for Tuesday’s general election continues through Saturday, offering registered voters in northern Arkansas the chance to cast their ballots ahead of the official Election Day.
As of 5 p.m. Friday, more than 3,100 voters had already participated in early voting in Sharp County, according to election officials. Other turnout numbers reported include 1,657 voters in both Izard and Lawrence counties, and 1,588 in Fulton County.
Early voting will be available on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at multiple locations across the region:
- In Sharp County, voters can visit the Hardy Civic Center, the Sharp County Courthouse in Ash Flat, or the “Next Door” facility in Cave City. - In Fulton County, early voting is taking place at the Courthouse Annex in Salem and the Senior Life Center in Mammoth Spring. - Izard County residents can cast their early votes at Ozarka College in Melbourne, the Brand New Church in Calico Rock, or Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. - In Lawrence County, early voting is offered at the county courthouse in Walnut Ridge.
Election officials encourage residents to take advantage of the early voting period if they anticipate scheduling conflicts on Election Day, which takes place this coming Tuesday.
