Fulton County Hospital in Salem will host an open house on Thursday, Nov. 2, offering the public a chance to tour its remodeled facilities and learn about its services. The event is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the hospital, located at 679 N. Main St.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore updated areas of the hospital, participate in free health screenings at a vitals station, and enter prize drawings. The hospital’s gift shop will offer a 10% discount on purchases during the event, and refreshments will be served. Lunch will also be available in the hospital cafeteria.

Fulton County Hospital became part of the Baxter Health system in August 2023, when the Mountain Home-based network stepped in to stabilize the county’s sole hospital. The facility officially joined the system as a full member on Jan. 1, 2025.

Improvements to the hospital have been bolstered by $2.5 million in funding from Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ Rural Hospital Sustainability Program, awarded in 2024. Baxter Health officials previously reported that their management led to improved operations during the initial year, with financial performance increasing by approximately $2.5 million.

The Nov. 2 open house serves as an opportunity for community members to see these changes firsthand and engage with the hospital’s expanded services. For more information, potential attendees can contact the hospital directly.
