The Gassville City Council has approved updates to several municipal codes during a meeting that lasted just over an hour on Thursday. The council voted to adopt new mechanical, electrical, building, and fire codes.
According to Mayor Jeff Braim, the changes align the city’s regulations with current standards and safety requirements. The update is aimed at ensuring Gassville's infrastructure and public safety measures remain in compliance with modern practices.
The council also began discussions on potential adjustments to the city’s wholesale water rates. While no decisions were made, officials signaled that further review and analysis would be required before addressing the matter again.
The meeting lasted approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
