FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas men's basketball team will host the Memphis Tigers in an exhibition game at Bud Walton Arena on Wednesday, October 28, at 7 p.m. The game will be available to stream on SEC Network+ and broadcast on the Learfield Razorback Sports Network.
Both teams enter the matchup with exhibition wins already under their belts. On Saturday, Arkansas defeated #15/12 Gonzaga 76-72 in a closely contested game. Memphis, meanwhile, secured a decisive 74-58 victory over Mississippi State last Friday in Starkville.
This marks the second consecutive year the two programs will meet in an exhibition setting. Last year, Arkansas traveled to Memphis for the Hoops for St. Jude Tip Off Classic, where they overcame a three-point halftime deficit to claim a commanding 99-75 victory. In that game, standout performances included Meleek Thomas with 23 points and four steals, Darius Acuff Jr. with 17 points and seven assists, and Billy Richmond III contributing 13 points and two blocked shots.
Under the leadership of head coach Eric Musselman, the Razorbacks boast a strong history in exhibition play. The program holds an all-time record of 81-11 in such games, including a dominant 71-6 mark at home. Arkansas also carries an impressive 40-game home exhibition winning streak into Wednesday’s contest.
Wednesday’s game presents an opportunity for fans to see how the Razorbacks perform against a seasoned Memphis squad as both teams prepare for their respective regular seasons.
