Hillcrest School District will begin classes for the new academic year on Monday, Superintendent Michael Smith confirmed this week.

Ahead of the start date, the district is also hosting its annual 'Stuff the Bus' school supply drive today. A school bus will be parked at the intersection in Strawberry throughout the day to collect donated supplies and financial contributions.

Superintendent Smith expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the Hillcrest community, which he says has consistently helped ensure that all students have the supplies they need. For years, the district has maintained a program that provides school supplies to all students, a tradition made possible in part through community-driven efforts like 'Stuff the Bus.'

Donations of school supplies or cash are welcomed at the drop-off location in Strawberry. The drive serves as both a community initiative and a way to alleviate financial burdens for families, ensuring students are prepared when classes resume next week.
