The Lawrence County Extension Office has announced its annual Brucellosis vaccination program for local producers. Vaccinations for replacement heifers between the ages of 4 and 12 months will take place on Monday, November 9. A backup date is scheduled for Friday, November 13, in the event of rain.
This countywide program is offered at no cost to producers. Those interested in participating are encouraged to contact the Lawrence County Extension Office at 870-886-3741 to make arrangements.
Brucellosis, a bacterial disease that affects livestock, can lead to reproductive issues and economic losses for producers. Vaccination programs like this one play a vital role in disease prevention across Arkansas cattle herds.
