White River Health is offering a free breast health education program on Thursday evening, October 5, in Batesville as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities.
The program will take place at the White River Medical Center in the Josephine Raye Rogers Center for Women and Imaging. It begins at 6 p.m. and is open to the public with no registration required.
Dr. Lindsay Devereux, a general surgeon with the White River Health Surgery Clinic, will provide expert insights on breast health. In addition to Dr. Devereux’s presentation, the program will feature personal stories from breast cancer survivors, and information on genetic counseling will also be provided.
October is recognized nationally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and support for those affected by the disease.
Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of this free educational opportunity to learn about breast health and hear firsthand experiences from individuals who have faced breast cancer.
