The Gassville City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Gassville City Hall, located at 204 South School Street. Several ordinances and issues are set for consideration.

One item on the agenda is Ordinance No. 2026-04, which proposes setting wholesale water rates for non-residents at $7.50 per 1,000 gallons.

The Council will also review Ordinance No. 2026-05, which would adopt an updated electrical code under an emergency clause. The ordinance details specific permit, application, and inspection fees. It specifies that residential inspections will cost $60, while commercial inspections will cost $85, with additional criteria outlined for homeowners. Applications for these permits must use forms provided by the City of Gassville.

Another ordinance up for consideration, Ordinance No. 2026-06, proposes updates to the building and fire codes. This ordinance, also under an emergency clause, seeks to improve safety by addressing fire hazard control and standards for the construction, occupancy, and maintenance of structures within the city. If approved, it will adopt the International Fire Code, International Building Code, International Residential Code, and International Existing Building Code, along with their associated permit fees.

Ordinance No. 2026-07, which updates the city's mechanical code, is also on the agenda. This ordinance, based on the 2021 International Mechanical Code, includes penalties for violations and enacts measures under an emergency clause.

Additionally, the Council will discuss municipal health benefit rates.

The meeting is open to the public, and all residents are encouraged to attend and participate in discussions about the city’s plans and priorities.
