Healthy Families Arkansas, in partnership with Ozark Opportunities, is seeking sponsors and donations to help provide Christmas gifts for local families with infants and young children. The program works with expectant parents and families to offer parenting education, resources, and support, and its annual holiday drive aims to match families in need with donors who can help spread holiday cheer. However, several families and children remain in need of sponsors this season.

Community members, businesses, and churches can help in one of four ways. Sponsors may choose to assist an entire family, receiving a numbered wish list that includes ages, clothing sizes, and a few items the family has requested. Personal details about the families, such as names, will remain private. For those unable to sponsor a full family, the program offers the option to sponsor a single child. Additionally, donations of toys, clothing, baby supplies, and other requested items are welcomed. Monetary donations are also accepted and will be used to purchase gifts that align with specific family needs.

The deadline to sign up as a sponsor or deliver donations is Wednesday, Dec. 9. This ensures the program has enough time to organize and distribute gifts to families before Christmas. Donations can be dropped off at the Ozark Opportunities office, located at 1318 Bradley Drive, Suite 11, in Mountain Home.
