The Ozark Post 3246 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars is raffling a Ruger American Rifle Generation II Ranch to raise funds for local veterans and community charities. The drawing will take place on Saturday, October 31.
Tickets for the raffle are priced at $10 each and are available to individuals aged 18 and older. According to VFW representatives, proceeds from the fundraiser will directly benefit charitable initiatives in the community.
The rifle for the raffle was supplied by Bob’s Guns, a local firearms dealer. Tickets can be purchased at the VFW post's canteen, located at 214 W. 7th Street in Mountain Home. The canteen is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
Additionally, tickets are available for purchase at the Mountain Home Farmers Market, held on the corner of Fifth Street and Shiras Avenue. VFW members will be selling tickets there on Saturday mornings from 7 a.m. to noon. The final opportunity to buy tickets at the market is on Halloween morning, just hours before the drawing.
