Drivers in Batesville can now address a range of automotive needs in one convenient location. Bishop’s Collision Repair and its newly expanded Bishop’s Auto Clinic are situated across from each other on Lawrence Street, providing comprehensive services to the community.
The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the opening of Bishop’s Auto Clinic at 777 Lawrence St. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The move positions the clinic directly across the street from Bishop’s Collision Repair, which has been serving local drivers for about 20 years at 790 Lawrence St.
In a statement, co-owners Kerwin and Brenden Bishop described the relocation and expansion of the clinic as part of their goal to deliver a "one-stop shop" for automotive services. The new facility offers a variety of services, including computer diagnostics, wheel alignments, brake work, and calibrations for advanced driver assistance systems, known as ADAS technology.
Shop manager Michael Hertz emphasized the importance of seamlessly coordinating auto repair and collision services, particularly for modern vehicles that rely heavily on advanced safety systems. “That’s the biggest thing we want to highlight is the ADAS equipment,” Hertz said. “It’s a big safety thing on all the cars now, and we’re equipped from the collision side of the business to the auto clinic side to handle all the repair needs.”
The clinic also provides additional services such as windshield replacement, alignments, and specialized calibrations to ensure vehicles meet safety specifications. Lead mechanic David Miles serves as the primary customer contact at the clinic. Customers with questions or those looking to schedule an appointment can call 870-793-3451 or visit the location at 777 Lawrence St.
The ribbon-cutting event included giveaways supported by several local businesses, including Bad Boy Mowers, Tripp Supply, Pepsi, Harps Foods, Citizens Bank, and several others. The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce applauded the Bishops for their commitment to the community, noting that local businesses like Bishop’s play a vital role in keeping the city running by offering essential services and fostering strong customer relationships.
The chamber also acknowledged its ambassadors who attended the event, representing a variety of area businesses and institutions.
