A new Christian and gospel radio station, Glory 104.3 FM, is set to begin broadcasting in Jonesboro at midnight on Sunday, Dec. 6. To mark the occasion, a celebratory worship service and ribbon-cutting reception will be held, the station announced in a news release.

The station plans to offer Northeast Arkansas listeners a mix of gospel music, Christian teaching, inspirational programming, and local community content. LaGanzie Kale, Operations Manager for Glory 104.3 FM, emphasized the importance of creating connections within the area.

"Radio has always been about more than just what comes out of the speakers. It’s about connecting with people, being a part of their everyday lives, and making a positive difference in the community," Kale said. "With Glory 104.3 FM, we’re building on that belief by creating a station that not only shares uplifting Gospel music and Christian programming, but also reflects the people and community we serve."

The station, which uses the slogan "Where God Gets All the Glory!", is completing its transmission facilities and final technical preparations ahead of the launch. Alongside traditional over-the-air broadcasting, Glory 104.3 FM plans to incorporate modern broadcast technology and automation into its operations.

The public worship service will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, at New Life Empowerment Ministries, located at 2113 N. Church St. in Jonesboro. The following day, Monday, Dec. 7, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception are scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at the station's studio, located at 1411 Franklin St. The Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce will conduct the ribbon cutting. Both events are open to area residents, supporters, church leaders, and other members of the community.

The Rev. Greg Ota, Glory 104.3 FM's director of theology, described the station's mission as sharing Christian messages and making a global impact through radio.

"Glory is a platform to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ by the airwaves for the empowerment of the community and enlightening the whole world," Ota said.
