A 46-year-old woman was sentenced to a decade of probation after pleading guilty to attacking her boyfriend and breaking into a neighbor’s apartment where she assaulted another woman. The case was heard in Baxter County Circuit Court last week.
Authorities identified the defendant as Kelly Ellen Yaklin. According to officials, the incident left Yaklin’s boyfriend with minor injuries. The neighbor, a woman whose name was not released, also suffered visible minor injuries. At the time of the assault, the neighbor’s two young children were present.
Investigators reported that Yaklin appeared to be intoxicated during the two attacks. Following her arrest, Yaklin was released on a $7,500 bond.
Yaklin’s probation terms are part of her guilty plea agreement. Further details about the conditions of her probation were not immediately available.
