The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) has lifted the boil water notice for the Bull Shoals Water System, restoring confidence in water safety for affected residents.
The notice had been in place since October 19 following a loss of system pressure caused by a main break. The affected area included Alford Drive, McDonald Meadows Parkway, and Susan Lee Circle. Such notices are issued as a precaution due to potential bacterial contamination when water pressure drops.
According to ADH, water samples collected last Tuesday tested free of bacterial contamination, and a satisfactory disinfectant level has been re-established in the system. The results allowed the state agency to officially cancel the boil water notice.
Customers in the affected areas may now resume normal use of the water supply.
