JONESBORO – Arkansas State University crowned its 2026 Homecoming King and Queen during halftime of Saturday’s football game between the Red Wolves and Georgia State at Centennial Bank Stadium.
Cosmo Deveaux of Nassau, The Bahamas, was named Homecoming King, while Emma Dorton of Dexter, Missouri, was crowned Queen. Both received gifts provided by Sissy’s Log Cabin, with Deveaux receiving a watch and Dorton a crown and bracelet.
The Homecoming court also included Chauncy Betts, Harrison Herget, Caleb Ramsey, JP Rowton, Cameron Argo, Denver Brooks, Kate Malone, and Janarie Prince. Additionally, two young participants, eight-year-old Harris McDaniel and five-year-old Nora Lorick, served as Little Mister and Little Miss A-State, respectively. Harris is the son of Von and Melissa McDaniel, and Nora is the daughter of Jasmine and Corbin Lorick, all of Jonesboro.
The selection of the King and Queen was based on candidate interviews and a vote by the student body during Homecoming week.
In a separate event, the A-State Alumni Association honored the university's 2026 Distinguished Alumni. This year’s honorees were Dr. Timothy D. Langford, Phillip T. Poston, and Dr. Billy Don Tiner. The alumni recognition took place during a morning ceremony and halftime of the game. As part of the Homecoming festivities, the class of 1976 also gathered for their 50-year reunion at the Cooper Alumni Center.
The evening concluded with a hard-fought victory for the Red Wolves, who defeated Georgia State 38-32.
