Lynn Luther and Anthony Gater claimed first place in this year’s Baxter Health Bass Classic, held Saturday on Lake Norfork. The winning team, who hauled in a total catch of 18.89 pounds, received a $4,000 prize.

Over 60 boats launched from the Norfork Lake Marina early that morning, with weigh-ins held later in the afternoon. Second place went to Corey Cook and Roger Cook, whose catch of 14.5 pounds earned them $2,000. Jacob Wade and Duncan Green secured third place with a catch of 14.38 pounds, winning $1,000.

Fourth place was awarded to Curtis Boyd and Colby Boyd, who received $500 for their catch of 13.51 pounds. Drew Tabor and Brock Tabor rounded out the top five, earning $500 for their 12.95-pound haul.

The tournament, along with a banquet held on Thursday, serves as the sole annual fundraiser for the Baxter Health Foundation. Proceeds are used to support Baxter Health through the purchase of medical equipment, facility improvements, and funding for programs and support groups. Funds also benefit the foundation’s three community support houses, designed to provide advanced health care and services to local residents.

This year’s event highlighted the foundation’s commitment to keeping quality health care close to home while fostering community involvement through the popular bass tournament.
