A Black Rock man has been charged with sexual solicitation of a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the Izard County Sheriff's Office.
Caleb Elgin Jackson, 25, was arrested on July 25 after a warrant was issued by the Izard County Circuit Court. Officials said the charges stem from an incident reported on July 11, when a juvenile accused Jackson of providing alcohol the previous evening.
As the investigation proceeded, law enforcement officials discovered additional allegations against Jackson. According to investigators, Jackson allegedly implied he wanted to engage in sexual activity with the juvenile and sent sexually explicit messages. On July 22, Jackson was interviewed by authorities after being advised of his Miranda rights.
During the interview, investigators say Jackson admitted to providing alcohol to the juvenile and attempting to solicit the juvenile for sexual activity. Authorities report that Jackson also disclosed being sexually attracted to young females and admitted to possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on his phone.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed as evidence continues to be reviewed.
