LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced Thursday that three new staff members have joined her administration ahead of the 2027 legislative session.
“As we head into the 2027 legislative session, I want to add new talent to my team of smart, driven leaders who can help advance our conservative agenda and continue Arkansas’ record as a blueprint for reform for the entire country,” Sanders stated in her announcement.
Heather Patterson has been named Director of Advance and Coalitions. A Northeast Arkansas native, Patterson graduated from Arkansas State University in 2011 and from Liberty University in 2017. She previously worked as the Connection Director for Fellowship Bible Church.
Josh Stewart, originally from Memphis, has been appointed as Director of Legislative Affairs. Meanwhile, Zach Jacobs, a Virginia native who formerly served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Arkansas Department of Education, has been tapped as Policy Director.
“Josh, Zach, and Heather have proven themselves through their service to our state, and I’m excited to have them take on these roles,” Sanders said.
The newly announced appointments come as Governor Sanders prepares her team for the upcoming legislative session, which is expected to focus on advancing her administration’s conservative priorities.
