JONESBORO, Ark. — Popular local eatery BA Burrito has shuttered its Southwest Drive location and consolidated its operations at The Yard, its site on Aggie Road in Jonesboro. A statement from the restaurant cited rising rent costs, increased food prices, and labor expenses as factors behind the decision.
“While we hated closing our SW Drive location, it was the best decision for our business,” the business said in its announcement. Challenges stemming from tight profit margins in the restaurant industry led to the move, according to the statement.
The Yard, located at 1918 Aggie Road, is approximately 3.5 miles from the now-closed Southwest Drive site. The Aggie Road location remains open and continues to provide dine-in services, as well as delivery through DoorDash and a full-service bar.
“BA isn’t closed—we’ve simply consolidated our two locations,” the statement emphasized.
The restaurant has not indicated plans to reopen or expand in other areas at this time.
